David Schulte
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Schulte is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at CorEnergy. Previously Mr. Schulte was a co-founder and a Managing Director of Tortoise Capital Advisors L.L.C. where, until 2015, he served on the investment committee ultimately overseeing $16 billion of AUM.   He has experience in private equity and investment banking, where he led financings and had board responsibilities for two growth MLPs as well as other manufacturing and distribution companies.  Mr. Schulte earned a JD from the University of Iowa and an accounting degree from Drake University. He has earned a CFA charter as well as CPA designation. In 2017 he was named into the Alerian Hall of Fame for Asset Management. He serves on the Board of Directors of Western Midstream Partners, LP.
